Soliciting Articles for the UMLR Journal Volume 10
The University of Malaya Law Review (‘UMLR’) is pleased to announce its call for Project Papers and Research Project (II) to be considered for publication in the forthcoming University of Malaya Law Review Journal Volume 10.
Returning with the 10th collection of quality academic works, we formally invite undergraduate and postgraduate students of law in Universiti Malaya to submit their work for consideration. This is an opportunity for students to contribute to meaningful legal discourse and showcase their research to a wider academic audience.
Selected submissions will be featured in the 10th Volume of our collection of Journal Articles, set to be published in the year 2027.
Submissions must comply with the Journal Solicitation Policy and will be evaluated in accordance with the UMLR Publication Submission Rubric. The rubric may also serve as a guide for authors in preparing their submissions. Swipe left to access both documents or find them on UMLR’s official website!
Submissions are to be made in Microsoft Word format via email to umlawreview@outlook.com by 11.59 p.m. on 11th October 2026.

Lex; in Breve, the online supplement to the University of Malaya's esteemed law journal, is now open for submissions for the new academic session!
Launched as a platform to provide a more accessible outlet for legal scholarship, Lex; in Breve features concise yet impactful legal commentary on the most pressing contemporary issues.
We welcome contributions from all individuals, from law students to established legal practitioners, providing a valuable opportunity for students to share their insights on significant legal issues alongside the voices of the profession.

Hall of Fame 2026/2027 Selection Process
The University of Malaya Law Review (UMLR) is thrilled to announce that the Hall of Fame (‘HoF’) is back for the 2026/2027 tenure!
The Hall of Fame is a quarterly feature that celebrates outstanding final-year students and distinguished alumni of the Faculty of Law who have attained notable achievements and made meaningful contributions to the Faculty and its community.
We warmly invite all students to nominate deserving final-year students or alumni for this segment. Students who have excelled in their respective fields are also encouraged to self-nominate. Through the Hall of Fame, UMLR hopes to recognise individuals whose achievements and contributions serve as an inspiration to the wider Faculty community.
Submit your nominations by 16th October 2026, 11:59 p.m. through the HoF Nomination Form on our website under ‘Hall of Fame’ > ‘Nomination Form’.
Please note that each person may nominate only one (1) candidate. Any additional nominations from the same individual will be considered void.
